Snetterton testing with Lanan Racing. An F1 star of the future?

I help out with Lanan racing quite a lot, the team won the F4 Championship and the MSV F3 Championship last year so they see a lot of drivers with potential. This year they are running three drivers in the F4 championship and there is a distinct possibility that one of them, George Russell, has the potential to be a future British F1 driver. He is a multiple British and European kart champion and has really shown up well in tests this season. We have had him out in the car which Jake Hughes won the championship in and George is already half a second a lap quicker! He is a very talented driver and I have a feeling that this lad has the skill and determination to reach the very top.
Yesterday we were testing at Snetterton with all three drivers out, Khalid Bari the photographer came along to take some shots and here's a selection of his pictures.

When I worked at Fortec motorsport I used to enjoy tests days better than the race days!!
Great pictures and the tech on those cars is amazing.

Great start to the season this weekend, George finished 4th in his first race on Sat. and then won both of the races today! The team also had good results from its other two drivers, Struan Moore finished 3rd in race two after starting from the back of the grid and Arjun Maini finished 2nd in race three with Struan 5th. The team also had the F3 car out and Toby Sowery, the teams F3 driver, won both races in that car! George is now leading the F4 championship and Toby leading the MSV F3 Championship, a very successful weekend for the team.

Quick update following last weekends races at Brands Hatch. George had another excellent weekend, this time it was a win, a third and a fourth. The young Indian driver I look after in the same team had a second and two fourth places. This leaves George with three wins from six races on top of the championship and Arjun in third place in the championship.

When we were testing at Snetterton earlier this year Struan did 1.50.5 on the 300 circuit. Last week we tested on Brands Indy, Arjun was quickest with a 45.9secs.

The BRDC F4 Championship finished this weekend at Snetterton and the team has had a great result with our three drivers, George won the championship by 3 points, Arjun, who I work with, was 2nd, and our third driver Struan finished in 5th place.
George picked up a cheque for £25,000 and also a GP3 test with Arden in Abu Dhabi later this year, he is also one of the six drivers nominated for the McLaren Autosport award this year which recognises the most promising young drivers in the UK.
Here's a few pictures from after the race.
