Chris does it do any damage to anything if the cars are driven with the 3 AYC lights on? I presume the system is just inactive if the lights are on & you are just not getting the best out of the handling but the vehicle is still usable & safe to drive? I looked at a couple recently with the 3 lights on but they drove lovely with no noises or judders & seemed perfectly fine?

What one are you after the twin plug or single?
we may be able to refurbish your solenoid if you sent it to us.

Chris

I'll double check and let you know. It's the garage that have tested it and say it's failed I've not seen the pump myself.

How much to refurb my solenoid if I send it down to you?

Sounds like a bargain price. I'll try get this off the car at the weekend and get it sent in the post.

Out of interest because I'm a greedy sort of person, how much do you charge to refurb my own pump and resend it to me?

All depends on whats wrong with it but average cost is £350 for a full rebuild and pressure test. Feel free to send it to us.

Thanks, I'll get them to test the rest of it and find out if anything else is wrong with it.

The previous owner of the car has transfered warranty over to me so might get this fixed under warranty, but failing that if I only need solenoid I'll do that. No sense spending the extra £300 if I don't need to.

Thanks for your help

Hi Graham,

On our rebuilds the pumps are completely stripped down and inspected. Then any worn parts, seals replaces. Solenoids rested and adjusted. Rebuilt, and pressure tested on the bench.

No relocation kit available yet but we are designing one to sit the pump in the boot.

Hope this helps

Chris
