RS rear diff conversion

Who can help me out with this one?

What do i need to carry out the RS rear diff conversion on my 6 GSR??

Is it just a straight forward case of swapping the diff??? or are there carriers, shafts etc needed?

From what I have read in other threads by much more knowledgable people than me, is you need Diff, Shafts and Mounts. Simples. But the problem is finding them!

the only thing with the EVO 9 kit is that i am unsure if I will need the hubs to suit also.... the reason i say this is because i bought 9 front shafts for my 6 and they didnt fit the hub

Buy the Ross Sport E9 RS diff kit fella

You get every thing you need for the conversion and it all fits like a glove

I have it in my car and had no problems so far

I like the noise fella sound like norris green bad boy

As for the rs diff kit it is the best thing to buy if tracking the car but as you said a bit pricey but not when you think about it ...

for a start..

your ayc pump and shafts are worth money

the rs diff kit it much stronger over ayc

and the big one for me was the servicing of the ayc diff it cost a lot for what you are getting done 10/15 of them and you nearly have your diff kit

just my 2 pence woth fella

Paul Martin (Neverneverman) usually has nearly new IX RS diff kits in stock. Check out this thread and give Paul a ring

What is the weakest part of an ayc diff ? Is it the casing or diff it self ?

Think the AYC Diff casing is alu and the RS steel so the casing is one of the week points

Is the RS propshaft not needed as well, something about it being shorter and not pushing the RS diff back like a GSR prop would?
