Evo ownership so far....

Guess there are a few of us scratching about at these times. For something to do,here is a look back at some of my memorable times so far with Evos.Way to much to add, still canít believe Iím still as mad about Evos as I was 20 years ago.

First one...2002 Evo 5 Gsr,23 years old and mad as **** with it,massive jump coming from hot hatches, had her 2 years and never tracked it,bought an Evo 1 for the track, well two,Gsr and an Rs.Start of it...

Soon the Evo 1ís were sold, the Gsr went to a mate who also got sucked in by it all and still is...replaced it with a fresh imported Evo 3 Rs.that was something else, had a season of trackdays at Knockhill with some of the best duals Iíve ever had.

The 5 went off to RsGeoff,3 Rs ended up sold and along came Evo 7 Gsr 2.3 with a shed load of goodies in 2004.This was a fair machine back in the day

A year later,2005,hunting Auto trader I came across a Monte Carlo Tommi Makinen Rs so just had to have it,so out we went and bought it.

So plan was to keep the Makinen and the Evo 7 was sold.Probably didnít appreciate the Tommi at the time, was only 28k miles car and absolutely minted.Didnít last long before I had someone wanting to buy it and me being me,sold it.Had an Evo 8 Mr Rs to replace it,bought on new year 2006,this car turned out to be a bit of a keeper, lots of mods, memories,Mlr trackdays, sprints the lot.Great times from 2006-2009,guess it was at its peak with Evos

Sold that in 2008 and said thatís me done with Evos...few months later had a new X Rs ordered.

The X was a great car, really liked it but was let down with a few issues so punted it,wanted something quicker and Norris Designs 8 Mr Rs was up for grabs...

This was the ultimate Evo for me,best built motor Iíve had..brutal,never eaten transmission in my Evo years till I got this one..Beast!

Sold that in 2011 and just dabbled with the odd Evo since but never been content with any of them until the latest.Had her 2 years and on course for being longest in my ownership, lol.Evo 6 Rs,itís a cracker as well, probably the Norris 8 was my favorite, still holds a few lap records at sprints from 10 years ago, impressive car.

Edit to add... How can I forget this one.Bought back the Monte Carlo in 2014,tidied her up and you guessed....Sold it agian, lol.

Hope the pics sizes and that turn out ok and you enjoyed, crazy times, stay safe folks!

Thanks Grant..certainly

Never regretted selling much cars as without selling them will stop me from trying the next one as I canít keep them all.If I had to pick one,it would be the Monte Carlo purely on the ear bending the wife gave me due to the hours I put into it.Was very pleased with how it turned out but was to unusable. It now sits in a bubble not to far from me in a collection.

The 6 Rs I have now is a car Iíd regret selling, after near 20 years of ownership itís one of the best condition cars Iíve had and know Iíll be pushed to replace it.

Yes,I Sold that Evo to Roger in 2008,the number plate came off his Evo 4 which I took back in a deal when it arrived back to the UK broken from one of his euro blasts, lol
