Wot can I say really, Big thanks to jhfozzy once again for organising this meet
Great turn out by the club , was good to meet some new members and well as catch up with the regular suspects . Great effort attending from Wilkins coming from Coventry and from Si B
Sorry to read that there was an incident at beginning hope it was nothing too serious
Enjoyed seeing Wilkins there with the old school - tail happy Lancer 2000 , made me smile watching this buggy taking the bends .
Weather was a bit cold, but glad it stayed dry, views were amazing as we pootled through S.Wales
Had a great day driving and enjoyed breakfast and lunch

My Photo's posted up on Si B'S thread: https://www.lancerregister.com/showth...=1#post3789711

Until next time peeps
Steve

It was mate, great weather and great cars.

How's the business going? Still got the VI?

O/T Remember when you organised Pembrey in 2008? Did you have trouble getting hold of the Course Director? I've sent him two letters now, one was even recorded delivery and he hasn't answered either of them. I want to organise a track day in June/July and times ticking away. I might just end up popping down for a visit.

yep still got the VI business is going well too, it just seems like I've dropped off the face of the world

I was up on some of those roads earlier in the morning shame to have missed you all, but I'm hardly ever on the forum any more....

no I didn't have any trouble getting hold of the track director when I organised the Pembrey trackday, try popping down there. I have just looked but must have binned the contact details I had.

cheers, Simon

I have had some really bad experiences with the owner of Pembrey if that's who you mean. I have been involved in organising the Carmarthenshire Modified Car Show there for the last 4 years and he is like Lord Lucan to get hold off. In addition he has a history of changing his mind over prices for things at the last minute. My advice would be to tag onto an existing track day organised by Motor Sports Events or Focussed Events if you can. To be honest it would be better to go to Coombe, it's often the same price as Pembrey (very expensive for what the Welsh circuit has to offer IMO) and much better organised. I have driven Pembrey 3 times and Coombe several more than that and Pembrey doesn't have a patch on them.

Anyway, whatever you organise let me know as i will always be interested.

Cheers

Jez

Does anyone fancy the National Transport Festival of Wales, Landore P&R Swansea on the 19th of June

As I've had no PMs from anyone yetand I need an idea of numbers ASAP.

If you do want to go, PM me (don't post details here) with:

Name, Address, Post Code, Contact number, Make/Model of car, Age, Engine CC and Reg no. and I'll put your name on the list.

Entries have to be in by the 20th of May.

John.
