HELP! - Permanent Live (fuse??) - Evo7

Hoping someone can help me here...

Was fitting an amp into the boot and I must have blown some fuses.

The interior light, stereo, clock, central locking, elec mirrors, rear wiper and washer do not work.

I found one blown fuse which has the music sybmol on (ie stereo) and whilst replacing this sorted the rear washer/wiper and I can see the "standby" light back on the stereo (although still doesn'tpower up), the weird thing is, the interior light works but only when the key is turned in ignition and this also applies to the central locking and elec mirrors (the interior clock stays off if ignition on or off!!)......

It appears a Permanent Live connection/fuse has gone as when the ignition is off i am unable to use central locking etc.

Really appreciate any info someone can give me!!!

Thanks

Buckie (Evo7)

On the VII you've got that grouping of 2 or 3 fuses actually on top of the +Ve battery terminal post - have a look there for a failed link would be my first suggestion.

Sorry for dragging an old thread up.
I have got exactly the same problem as this. I had fitted a new stereo and was checking for a loose speaker connection when I managed to blow a fuse. OK, I thought, easy fix as i've done it before .
Checking the fuse box inside the car and under the bonnet and I can't find any blown fuses!
I then read this post and checked the top of the battery fuses. Nothing wrong here.
Checking the radio, there is power getting through to the head unit, but that won't work.
Central locking won't work.
Valet light won't work but interior light does when keys in ignition.
Clock won't work.
All lights and wipers do work.

Help please!

Got in the car this morning and on turning it to the "run" position (one click before ignition!) , as usual I gave it a second or two for the fuel pumps to pressure the system. I got a sound like a relay clicking in and out for a second then it stopped. Car fired up perfect, no other lights on the dash. Only thing is it doesn't seem to be idling properly as its dieing a bit at junctions. Anybody got any ideas?

Thumbs up

Well I got this problem sorted today. Well, I say "I" Camskill did to be honest. Top service for fitting me in at very short notice and sorted within an hour! That's pretty good going in my book.
Apparently there is a 3rd fuse box right up at the top of the dash on the drivers side. Strange how nobody has ever mentioned it before!

For search purposes: valet light, trip meter, stereo, central locking not working, blown fuse, fuse box

How do you access this fuse box? Same prob on a 7 when trying to fit new radio. Central locking and electric fold out on mirrors gone but can still move mirrors in housing.
