Hi, this question has probably been asked a thousand times but i have tried to search google and mlr and have found no answer.

I have an Evo 7 FQ300 with a plaque of No.184

Now I understand this is my model number. However does this also mean there were only so many made? If so, does anyone know how many FQ300's were made?

Thanks in advance.

Hi i am a new user on this and would like some help if its possible, i am purchasing a evo 8 tomorrow, the guy said he doesnt have a slightest of clues of what spec it is, ive looked at your info on this forum i have come to a conclusion its a gsr, but i thought gsr come with 5 speed box and not 6, this is a 6 speed box and the front end has been changed to evo 9, and few other bits the no plate starts with YL05, i phoned my local mitzi dealership they dnt have a clue, also the logbook just says mitsubishi lancer nothing else, i dnt want to pay over the adds so would like some advice

Do you have any pictures of the exterior, engine bay and interior?

A "true" VIII GSR is a Japan only, imported model, which came with a 6 speed box as standard.

However, many people call the 5 speed UK model VIII 260 a "GSR" (including the DVLA on the V5), which it technically isn't.

The plate is a big clue though, if it's an VIII, on an 05 plate and not an MR version, then it's either a UK VIII 260 (5 speed) or an imported VIII GSR (6 speed).

I know they've only been sold in Japan and that the production of them stopped at 2.500 cars. There are only a few of them in the Netherlands also.

But I like a Wagon very much for myself and thinking about getting one in the near future.

The colours you say are the most common colours out there, but what I was wondering if they are in gunmetal grey or red indeed.

Maybe someone else know?

Pretty sure that's not an MR, but just a IX.

It doesn't have the MR badges on the boot or gear stick surround for a start and I suspect that there were no JDM black IX MR Wagons, just as there were no JDM black IX MR saloons.

It also has the carbon effect dash panels of the IX, rather than piano black panels of the IX MR.

EVO 7 badged FQ300 no carbon dash....

I am new to the EVO world and after some hunting a bought myself a really nice discreet yellow E7.

Well looked after and clean throughout. I am confused to its history though, its definitely a UK car as it was registered here from new and has a 9 stamp Ralliart Service History from 860miles.

I have searched the forum for spec etc and based on the information on this particular thread it should have a number of aesthetic features the car doesn't have.

If anyone could give me a history lesson that would be great!!!

Thanks

Welcome!:)

What are the features you were expecting to have that it's missing?

Does your car have electric folding wing mirrors and/or a rear wiper?

If you post up some pictures people will be sure to help and get to the bottom of exactly which car you have.:smthumbup
