ROUND 4: LOTUS TEST TRACK - HETHEL

After a month off for good behavior and a break to catch our breath, round 4 of the Pace Ward MLR Sprint Series returns to Lotus Cars very own test track at Hethel Saturday 13th August.

Capacity:

• Upto 25 Evos across Class A, B, C & D
• Upto 25 Imprezas across Class S1, S2 & S3
• Upto 20 GTRs across Class N1 & N2
• Upto 5 Guest cars

Regs:

• To remind yourselves of the Rules, Regs and Classes, click here
• Noise limit is 105 dBA static
• Passengers can register on the day (front seat only) for a nominal charge of £10
• All bookings will receive a PDF info pack via email the week before the event

Hethel Sprint Timetable:

• 08:00 - Registration
• 08:45 - Driver Briefing
• 09:15 - Sighting lap
• 09:30 – 3 Practice runs & first of the Competitive runs
• From 09:00 - Class Check
• 12:00 - Lunch
• 13:00 - Competitive runs continue
• 16:30 - Event closes and trophies awarded
  (Timings are approximate)

Trophies and Points Table:

Trophies will be presented to the top 3 drivers from each MLR class on the day will be presented after the final run...





Sprint Newbie?:
As an intro to Sprinting we'll take up to 5 drivers (for MLR, 22B & GTR Series) who have never driven in a Sprint for free

• register by calling us on 08451 25 26 23
• we'll send you the info pack the week before
• arrive on the morning to register
• attend the drivers briefing, and take part in the sighting lap and the 3 practice laps
• If you're hooked and want to drive in all the competitive runs just pay the event fee and continue!
• Get in the top 3 of your class and be awarded a trophy on the Podium!

Bookings:

• On a first come first served basis
• If this is your first Sprint in 2016, there's a Registration Fee of £10

Spectating:

• Spectating at the Hethel Sprint is free but we need to have the names of everyone who is attending as Lotus require an attendance list which will be checked on arrival; no name = no entry
• No animals are allowed at the venue – even if left in a vehicle, so please leave them at home

Pete, It's not something we've allowed before but we've never had the room either. However if there's a group of you and you're happy to run in your own class outside of the MLRSS we'll consider it as we have the space.

There's always a last minute rush for Sprints these days, so Friday lucnhtime would be the latest to contact me to book. That said we might even have space on the day, but I need to give Hethel details of everyone coming next week, so please email or PM me with names of anyone who might be coming with you so you can get in - if you leave it to the last minute! If you don't give me the names Lotus security won't let you in.

As usual Hethel require a list of everyone coming to the Sprint; drivers, crew, spectators, sponsors etc . . . so please can you let me know via email or PM who is coming with you or coming along later.

I need this info by next Thursday at the very latest please.

One of my fav tracks, wish i was there for this one.
Have fun everyone- cant understand why there's not more interest in this- well worth showing up as a guest entrant if you have a track toy.

I thought you'd probably say that Paul but back then you would have been the only one in a single seater when the Sprints were full of Evos - plus there was the safety factor on some of the venues we were running at.

Years later we have the Subarus and GTRs in the Series, and Pete is talking about a group of these cars in their own class outside of the MLRSS. With less Evos taking part these days (sadly), a variety of cars already competing, and the Series using all top venues (which are continuing to increase in cost), it makes sense to make this available now. If you've still got the car why not bring it along and compete alongside these guys?? Would be great to see you again and competing at an MLR Sprint
