I've just found this old chestnut hidden away on the site from a sprint in 2003. I hadn't seen it before so thought I'd share it

MLR Sprint Highlights - 2003

They've certainly changed a bit since then. Was this the first year of sprints?

I have to say this music is a lot better on this than the modern ones

Things have definitely changed in lots of ways (like video quality!), but still committed driving even back then

I put together that video. I think Darin filmed it. We made the timing gear from intruder detectors wired into a stop watch!

It did look pretty committed! How many people that were sprinting there are still doing it now?

The intruder detector and stop watch sounds ingenious.

Only a few. Most sold their Evos years ago. [email protected], Simon Norris and Mike Threlfall are all on that video and occasionally put in an appearance still

What year were the old Haynes sprints Dave?? I was just a spectator then as my brother would do the sprints... my brother started in my dads evo 8 until he purchased his own evo.

These memories show just how fantastic the series is and how it's evolved... real credit to everyone involved.
