Evo 6 Gear stick cable bracket on Gearbox ASAP

Hi All,

I have fallen foul of the Evo 4 gear stick cable bracket coming apart that is fitted to the gearbox, the rubber has perished. I see that this is quite common and the best replacement is the Evo 6 cable mount as it is already welded.

mine as the same issue as the ones in the photos half way down this thread...the bonded rubber has just come away...

I need this ASAP as I live in the sticks and the car is essential

Thank you all for your time and effort

so just checking that you are saying a direct swap for the mount/bracket which is bolted to the gearbox between a Evo 4 and Evo 6 would not be possible due to the cable being attached to the Evo 4 mount meaning I would have to swap the whole cable system as well for an Evo 6 one?

The reason I ask is because I was reading in other threads you could just swap the mount/bracket with the Evo 6 as its already welded but same fixing

Well if that's confirmed above then I will get it off and welded tomorrow instead

Thank you both for your quick replies
