Ed's Evo 9 GT Wagon

It all started back in June 2017, when speaking to Torque GT about their personal import service. Finding the perfect car, tracking it's boat trip, and arriving in the UK was all part of the excitement and experience.

Sales photos from the Japanese dealer. also showing how clean the underside is.

It was resprayed to that colour which I believe to be 'Medium Purple' which some 8s came in. I had actually planned to respray the car in A39 Grey, but the colour has really grown on me. In fact more so since seeing it in person.

Finally, on March 20th I went to pick up it up from Torque GT down near Torquay. Seeing it in person was almost too much, after a long wait and teasing photos

First of many many many fill ups, on my journey back from Torque GT.

I got to fitting parts fairly quickly that I'd set aside already. It came with Atec wheels wrapped in Yokahama Ice Guard winter tyres. Handy for the time of year and the fact it had snowed recently. These needed to come off though.

So, on went some Rays Gramlights 57DR 18x9.5 with Michelin Pilot Sport 4. As well as Meister R coilovers, power brace, change the grille badge to OEM, and freshen up the mesh of the grilles with some new paint. Some engine bay dress up to with carbon and anodised bits. One of the things Torque GT was to offer full undersealing, which I of course opted for.

Paint flaking

Took a pic of how it looks now with the Dinitrol undersealing. All cavities wax coated too, even the door runs.

Everything is stock aside from what I fitted, as well as some Defi gauges and a Blitz radiator.

I absolutely love how it drives. Smooth, plenty of torque low down, with boost coming in early. It surprised me by how nice it was to drive slowly, just as much as it is addictive to get the boost on and go fast!

Photos I took from a local meet. These show different the colour can look in different light. Light blue with a hint of purple. As I say it's really grown on me.

I've also already used it for work making use of the Wagon part, and why I wanted a wagon. Holds all if not most of my video gear perfectly. I also have a Galant V6 Elegance estate (UK N/A FWD) which is my daily and will do most of my jobs especially long distance and in London.

So that's the story so far. In the short term I plan to put on an exhaust, intake, and remap. I heard 350bhp is possible with this which will suit me just fine (for now I'm sure )

We think there are only about 17 in the UK. Personally I only know of 4!

Went to Dynotech Haynes Engineering today with Richard who was getting his car mapped, and thought I'd tag along to ask Bob about options. His two Evos are something else. @Dynotech

Some more of mine because I'm snap happy lol
