Another TC removal question

Hi guys
I think I need to look at the transfer box on my 6.5 TME as there is a small clunking noise when I turn slowly and have read it could be broken cap screws inside.
Been looking through a few how to remove the TC threads and not sure why I have to remove the LH drive shaft.
The other question I have is that none of the guides mention replacing any seals once its out, apart from the small O ring. Anything else I should look at once its out?

Best oil once its back together?
Gearbox oil?
Rear diff oil?

Cheers appreciate the help.

you need to pull the LH driveshaft in order to pull out the intermediate shaft, which is locked in the front diff... If you do not do so, you will not be able to pull the TC off as it will hang on by the intermediate shaft..

Cliwe over here is the man to tal to about cap screws mod..

if you do need a diff with the cap head bolts to stop the issue of loosening bolts, i have one available. It's an LSD and fits the tme diff housing (tme uses a slightly larger diff).

Drop me a mail if interested. richard . gasson78 @ gmail. com (remove spaces)
