Fitting a defi oil pressure gauge to my 9 mr

Hi looking for a bit of advice, Iím planning to fit a defi oil pressure gauge to my Evo 9 Fq360 mr, in the kit u get the gauge the harness some fittings and a sender unit, my question is do you replace the stock oil pressure sender unit with the one in the kit or do you need to fit the new one somewhere else completely and leave the stock sender alone.

Sorry if that sounds a stupid noob question, but itís been a long week and my head is fried.

The car has been sat up not been used for a while due to oil pressure light coming on and the engine cutting out when engine upto temp,

Many thanks

Any help would be appreciated

There are 2 blanking plugs on the oil filter housing you can use for fitting the sender in the housing

I used those 2 for my oil pressure and oil temp senders
