Newbie from Holland.

Hello all!

My name is Aram and I'm from the Netherlands.
I am looking around for a white Evo 6.

Recently I was looking to import one from Japan directly but maybe it's not a bad idea to look around here in the UK.
There are many companies importing them from Japan in this country but it's not easy to find a reliable one.
Do you guys have any recommendations which to visit or maybe advise on which to defenitly stay away from?
PM is also ok.

When I find one I'll do a proper introduction of course. :-)

Kind Regards,

Aram.

Thanks Rob!

I already sent mails to some of these companies so let's see what comes back.
My budget is £10000, and looking around I hope that should get me a fairly nice example.

My main focus is getting a car with minimal to no rust and accident/trackday history.

I found a company called Powerplay UK in the classifieds on Pistonheads, they have a few cars in the pricerange:
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/mitsubishi/evo-iv--vi/1999-mitsubishi-lancer-evo-6--fresh-import--finance--part-exchange/8449629

And I found a very interesting car at a company that only seems to have a page on facebook called JapPerformance Imports:
https://www.facebook.com/JapPerforma...66863170834603

But any info or recomendations are welcome!

Kind regards,

Aram.

Both dealers you have mentioned have had mixed reviews, most imports will be rust free ( not all ) but stick to a decent importer and you will have no worries

Thanks Roy,

I gathered quite some info already, but any info is welcome. :-)
Where did you get your car from?

For some reason I cannot send any pm's to anyone, maybe I should more than 10 posts or something?

Well, I found one!

It's a white 1999 Evo 6, it has some upgrades like HKS coilovers, Advan wheels, ARC exhaust cover TME front bumper and some other things.
It's very solid, all the usual rust areas are perfect.
The only negatives are surface rust on the floor and a leaking steering rack.
Not bad for a car on this budget.

Things I want to adress:

- Change wheels to something white 18x9, preferably also Advans.
- Add lip to TME front bumper or replace by standard E6 bumper.

Some pics:

Dropbox sucks, let's try this:

And together with my project car, that is going to be an awesome pair!:

As you can see, it really looks akward without the front bumper lip, so if anyone knows one...

Kind regards,
