Track Car: Reinforced front Hub needed

Hi All,

One of my best friend (who doesn't speak english) has a heavily modified Evo 6 track Car. Equivalent to a time attack car (1250kg/950hp)

A few days ago, on Castellet Track, as you can see on the video, he brokes the Hub and nearly lors a wheel at 300kmH...very very scary...

Big power, huge wheels, very big slicks and aero go out of the hub limits... Do you know if some reinforced ones exists? Where to find them?

Thanks a lot for your help

Any custimized hubs? Or are there any hub coming from other cars that could be adapted?

Only thing I can think of that would be up to what you require would be the gpA hubs and bearings the rally teams use, maybe try a good preparation garage or ask Ross at rossport whst he would recommend he had a monster comparable to yours.

Momentum and Magnus make billet hubs but they are expensive.

The 5RS hubs were induction hardened, these were deleted on the 6RS IIRC so if you can find some, the 5RS hubs are the ones to go for.

I did the same thing to one of mine found it after a trackday at combe and a hill climb. Luckily the CV joint spline didn't break.

MT-EVO had a wheel come off.

Cheers,

Simon

Simon,

Since most sellers do not specify unique original hardened Evo 5RS hub, do you have specific part # we can look for to identify the original?

Thank you,

Ivica

Sorry Ivica,
I don't have the number. If you have a chassis number for a 5RS, it would probably list the correct part in ASA or CAPS.

Cheers,

Simon

there is MR334386 which is evo 4/5 part and MR491037 which is 5rs/6rs non abs part. TBH the hub in the pics looks like a 2 piece hub for some reason, with the flange welded together. Personally, on track cars with slicks, I would just change the hubs very often..
