is it worth selling tommi mak & buying mr/fq340

ive been thinking about selling my tommi mak & buying a mr/fq340
before i bought my tommi mak i test drove a uk 340 and it was lovley but it was new & 34k/36k i can remember & i thought to my self in 1-2 years it will be worth 18k-22k a lot of money to loose so i bought my tommi mak love the car & the looks but its not as fast or refined as an evo 8 but it still does the job but is it a good move from a tommi to a mr/fq 340
i love the gray but is this a good move or is the 8 to new and not raw enough for me i dont know, what would i have to put to it to buy a 340??? 3k-4k-5k
i dont know???
who thinks this is a good-bad move please let me know
thank stu

PS please no sarky coments

I had a 6 before my 8 and although I loved it to bits I changed for a number of reasons, the main ones I remember at the time were:

1. The age of the car/lack of warranty.

2. The handling of the 6 I found a bit tricky at times. Believe it or not although I drive an evo - safety is very important in a car to me!!!

3. The extra comfort, xenon lights, etc,... just overall more moderness of the 8.

4. The misses wouldnt drive the 6 - too boy racer. Whereas she will drive the 8 - bit more descrete.

5. I wanted a bit more ooomph - and i'm not into modifying.

It worked out well for me but both are great and it is a tough choice.

I generally prefer as modern a car as I can afford plus I like a change every 3 years (just for a bit of variety more than anything).

I put in quite a bit of cash - probably a bit too much tbh - but hay its only money, and what price happiness (especially the misses's!!!) plus you cant take it with you.

That probably doesnt help you one bit (sorry) but thats my 10 pence worth.

But you can't afford £35 to join the MLR.

To the OP I find these threads totally pointless. It's your cars, your money, your life...can't you take an VIII for a test drive and make your own decisions?

I think a newish 340 will probably cost you your MAk + 5-10k.

You asked for opinions and I gave one, a valid one at that. How are we to know what is best for you or meets your requirements?

That post is a bit out of order - youve highlighted a tiny section of my thread and tried to make it read completely differently to the context in which it was written - well done.

On the plus side you have just demonstrated why I CHOOSE not to pay £35 and join the MLR - well done.

Note : Post edited to avoid confussion/embarressment - neither of which were intended.

Some people just love to have pop dont they - but its a decision only you can make. Sooner or later the 6 will have to go right?
