Evo 5 RS project

Last week I picked up my new project. An evo 5RS. I wasn't planning on buying another evo as I haven't quite finished my 9 GT but I saw this when at my tuners place and couldn't resist.

Long story short, this is a well known car on here, genuine 24k miles on the shell, imported by Nigel S a number of years back (2010 iirc). Its been used as a track car and had a 600hp mivec engine in last off. I bought it minus engine and gearbox and a few other bits.

I've stripped the car down on the underside now in preparation for a bit of a restoration - not that it needs much - this shell is solid as you can see from the photos. More of a cosmetic freshen up. So far I've literally jet washed it and the old underseal has peeled off, must not have keyed right but has done a good job of protecting it.

I'm not sure on what the end plan is, finish off and sell on, track car or maybe go stock build and store.

Here's a few pics of progress so far.

Love the car. Its had a bit of history but always looked clean. Was a weapon too

Glad you snapped it up as it may have ended up in my hands if I new it was for sale. Great base car.

It wasn't strictly for sale or advertised
