Evo 4 fun track car

Thought I would share some pics and progress.
I sold my 7 as it was too uncomfortable for every day driving, all my own doing but bought a X for comfort.
Unfortunately I didnít want to wreck the X on track and missed track days so decided a 4 would be a good start.
I will update progress as it goes but here are a few pictures to start. Car was purchased down Bournemouth way so some may know the car although it had been off the road for a year with the previous owner.
Pre sale pictures first

So far the car wasnít too bad underneath compared to some I have seen. A few little bits were welded, all seam welded and painted. All new poly bushes, new brake hoses and suspension. Calipers currently being refurbed so will all look like new undrneath

Good base to start from.

I said to the garage I wanted to create a solid track car. Looks like they thought I said show car .
Bits have been blasted, cleaned and where needed replaced then stone chipped/under sealed with Raptor. It is getting the full works, but it is going up in value and will be a solid car. Next they are dropping the engine to do all fluids, belts and give the engine bay the same treatment.
Cant wait to see the finished article. Just waiting on Whiteline droplinks and anti roll bars to come to finish the rear

I'm in the Bournemouth area, not a car I've noticed around but it's looking really good underneath. That should keep you going for a while.

Is that an upgraded turbo it has on it or just the manifold?

Just the Manifold. Will be getting it looked at soon to check as when bought it had an Evo 6 engine which I was told was forged, need to check before and bigger power comes. The car was off the road for a while before I got it, then I have had it being done for at least a year and a half. Could be why itís not known, soon to be changed 😄😄
