Ecuflash and evoscan

I'm having issues with evoscan and ecuflash.

I've not used it for a while (about 4 years on my old evo 6 and j now have a 5.

Evoscan issue
Get the following when logging

Info Battery less than 0.304v
Error less than 5v Deteceted at cable

Ecuflash
I keep getting j2534 error when reading

So far I've tried
Ecu unlocked
Boosting from another car to get 13amp supply, without boost battery is reading 12.03
Wiped from computer and redownloading
Different usb leads
Tried my old computer with an old version of both programmes that I know did work still get the same

What's best to try next???

You probably have a broken lead at the OBD2 port.

Good thing the OBD2 port has only a few wires. Start by checking the 12V power to the OBD2 port and then go from there.
