Rs diff driveshafts abs

Hi

I'm putting an rs diff into my 8 it's originally from a 6, I'd like to retain the abs, I believe it's just a case of knocking the cos off the end of the rs shafts and replacing them with non rs cv joints with abs rings, my. 8gsr splines on the cv joint don't match the ones on the rs, so do I just need to get normal 6 non rs rear cv joints and knock them onto the rs shafts to retain the abs rings and for it to match up?

Cheers
Lee

In what way do the splines not match?

I did it by just swapping the ring from my original gsr cv to the rs cv

Maybe im just tired (long day) but the right shaft is the original off your car, the left the rs shaft from a RS conversion? They should both physically fit your car, but Im sure it was said on here the outer cv off the gsr is fitted to the RS shaft to retain the ABS. So the outer cv should just knock off and swop over

Splines aren't the same that's the problem the inner and outer have different amount of teeth 22 on shaft and 25 where slides onto the hub

I've never seen that. I've fitted lots of E789 shafts to the rear of a E56. The front outers are different.
