Thumbs up FPV Quadcopter Merrivale Quarry 2

Hi All,

Here is a revisit to a location I flew when I first started to fly quadcopters back in August 2012. Its a disused quarry on Dartmoor, the stone from this quarry made the Falklands War Memorial at Port Stanley on the Falkland islands.

Video and radio signal stayed constant while playing around this site which was a surprise due to all the metal work and walls. If I ever revisit this site then I will be increasing my speed for some great action.

LOL you noticed that did you I didn't even cross the fence line near the water I was that cautious/getting flash backs

I have tried to find a photo of the bottom of this quarry when it was not filled with water to see how deep it is but I can not find one, I know they got over 1600 Tons of granite from here so that's got to be quite deep. The Granite from here was used to build the Falklands War memorial at Port Stanley in the Falklands and also some of the stone that built the 'London bridge' (the one sold to the USA).
