To drag a old thread up, Iv recently brought a Evo 8 260 engine and mapped ecu to put in my import Evo 6 gsr. Is this all that is needed to be done for me to get the car running(ecu/wiring side of things), running the 8 engine and ecu?
Any info would be great as gonna try and sort it the 'boring' week between Xmas and new year.

Hi, can anyone here advise the pinout for Jdm Evo 8 Ecu to Evo 6?

On the SD rom which wires should i tap for the Map & IAT sensor as im currently running on Ceddy with SD feature.

Lastly how to deactivate the Immobilizer on the 8 ecu?

Thanks

Does anybody have the 96530006RS2 rom that was posted in the first first post? Can anybody please reupload it? The link from the first post doesn't work anymore. Looking for a decent 96530006 rom for an evo 8 ecu in an evo 6. Thanks!

Have you looked here for stock 96530006?
https://evoecu.logic.net/mirror/svn/roms/stock/8/

But more importantly, are you sure you want to run E8 map on your setup of evo6? Also I didn't know there was E8 RS2..

[Edit]
I think I understand what you're after. The original thread was started with E6 running on E8 ECU flashed Tephra with some/most of the RS2 settings. I recall searching high and low for the RS2 dump (when I had a fairly stock TME).. but I couldn't find it. But after that, as with most people with 20-year-ish car, things starts breaking, started upgrading, and stock RS2 map wasn't relevant anymore. So I never looked back since. The evoecu URL has Tephra roms as well. I did start wiring up an E7 ECU to run Tephra, but I never ended up finishing.

Hahaha ya, I was just wondering if somebody had a decent rom that was tweaked for the evo 6 they wouldn't mind sending me that I could try as a base as I am a noob to this whole tuning thing. I tryed a stock 96530706 and it was best as it has since the swap but it still idols a little weird, keeps throwing codes and wont boost as much as it did on the stock evo 6 ecu.

Would anybody possibly know of any other stock roms that run decent on a stock 6 or what values other then MAF I need to change?

Thanks
