Matt's Evo VI GSR - CPP Prepared

Hi guys,

I had a silver TME a few years ago but sold it (before the prices shot up, obviously!) and recently decided I wanted to get another 6. I went to see one near Cambridge, about 2 hours away and it had a crunch into 5th (undisclosed, naturally ) so I called Gaz @ CPP while I was there, he gave me a quote but also said he had a fresh import in preparation which he thought I'd be happier with. He linked me to broado1986's thread which cemented it, I left the car with the crunchy gearbox and went home to wait impatiently

Fast forward a couple weeks and I went to view it. Gaz and Olly's work on it is perfect, my crappy phone pics won't do it justice but here they are anyway.

Just to run through what has been done to it;

Imported earlier this year by CPP
Suspension and subframe removed, vapour blasted, recoated (powder/zinc/left bare ally as it came from the factory), rebushed where needed and reassembled
Dinitrol coated and chassis rails all cavity waxed etc
All 4 wheels refurbed, all 4 Brembos refurbed
Refurbed AYC
Cambelt service
3" Turbo back exhaust
Apexi intake
Remap

I left a deposit and picked it up 2 weeks later, after it was MOT'd and registered. As I live in Derbyshire I could either go straight home on the A50 or take it home through the peaks, easy choice!

And then tucked it away

I have had it just under a week now and it has got compliments non-stop. I've had people at work looking round it in the car park as well as taking it to a local meet and coming back to find a fellow evo owner lying down and having a peek under her skirt

Can't thank CPP enough, Gaz kept me informed throughout and the car is fantastic AND has come with a warranty from CPP, what more can you ask?!

I don't have big plans for it, it's not a collectors piece and will be taken out and driven as it's meant to but I do love how original it is visually. So maybe just improve the audio, get a few odd brackets and hoses in the engine bay replaced to refresh that, and just enjoy it mainly. Really looking forward to enjoying it over the summer.

Also I've got to hand it to Torque GT as well. I gave them a deposit at the start of February and Darren and the team looked for one in Japan for a good while, bidding on a couple but when I found this one they were super professional, even translated the auction sheet for me for free, and of course sent the deposit back. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Cheers, Matt

Lovely clean 6

Is this mapped at all ? Or totally stock ? Just curious as you have an aftermarket cone filter

Very nice car Mate. . Saw this going for its MOT when I was there too. The work that CPP are doing at the moment is unrivalled! Absolutely brilliant service, advice and honesty.

Enjoy it in the beautiful weather over Easter as will a lot of us will be I’m sure.

Hopefully get to meet up at some point at a get together.

It has the air filter, 3” turbo back (“Quiet” option) and has been road mapped. With the same mods my TME was 335bhp so somewhere around there, maybe a touch more as the old car was on 120k miles, this ones on 68k.
