Cadwell Park with APT

I recently visited Cadwell Park to see Gary from AP-Tuning and Time Attack Extreme Pro champion Phil Reed tearing up the track and to be honest, having a lot more fun than you normally do on a competition day.

As promised on my recent thread showing the power Gary managed to extract from the 3582 and 3586 hta turbos, I thought I'd make little video of these Hyper Evos.

I am trying to organise a group of us to get to Cadwell Park in March or April. Hopefully we will have Gary and Phil there along with me in my shed, BradGT, Liddy, JonnyC in his ali engined Evo, and maybe even Andrew Barbour. The idea will be to have a load of fun chasing each other around whilst giving out passenger laps to people who haven't been in these crazy machines before, or anyone else willing for that matter.

I'll pop up the individual best laps for Gary and Phil later, but for now, here's the video. I hope you like it...

Nice, some effort put into those motors.

I can't help but think that tracks too small for those, maybe better suited for a blast round something a bit wider? Oulton park is fast.. (And local ) Either that or hire the track just for them...

Must of scared the life out of some of those on track that day.

Most decent drivers I know absolutely love Cadwell (and Oulton). It's not called the Mini Nurburgring for no reason...

Best thing might be for the MLR to arrange the trackday and then can either deny entry to slower cars or arrange into sessions

What!....
Who's going to pay to hire a top end Circuit for the day for a handful of race tuned Evos
Cadwell is a cracking place... good facilities.. great viewing and a fabulous back drop, not to mention the circuit its self.

On any typical track day on any track there are always a wide selection of abilities and cars, that's what makes track days so popular, as in... its not a race, just enthusiasts enjoying the limits of their pride and joys.

Anyway sorry.. its not a subject for debate, just a good idea and thanks "Kenny" for putting the vid together I will be up for attending if it can be arranged.

Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Did the cars have wet geo/suspension settings?

Where they both on the same tyres? What where they using? as looked to both have great wet weather grip.

A shame there wasn't this much interest in last years MLR day at Cadwell.

If you're planning a big evo day it would be a shame to mix it up with other track day organisers with (generally) slower cars.
