EGR Delete

Anyone ever followed this guide?

forums.evolutionm.net/evo-how-requests-questions-tips/453464-how-egr-removal-viii-ix-charcoal-evap-canister.html

I keep getting a CEL (P0400) and I have no leaking or loose pipes so reckon the valve is faulty. Not paying the stupid money Mitsi want for it so looking at adelete. Reading through the guide, it seems blanking off is only part of the job. The manifold can also be plugged to reduce heat and it seems there is also a whole assembly under the car to remove fuel tank fumes.

How far have people on here went with this?

Havent looked at your link ...but I have removed my EGR valve on my JDM vii gsr few years back .....(to aid pops n bangs )....just made up a blanking piece using piece of steel ...and valve base /shape as template for cutting replacement blank ! Think (iirc) there is a vac line attached to EGR valve ....not sure if I looped it back or just sealed up .....so long ago ..so many stella ago
Oh , but think some settings (via evoscan )may be needed to be amended /turned of for EGR .....My tuner did that bit !

I have done the EGR delete, made up my own blanking plat but didn't plug the manifold or remove the charcoal canister as reading through it seems like you can get significant fumes in the car.
