I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a "Ralliart Edition" of the IX.

Isn't the car in the picture just a normal IX with all of the Ralliart bolt on bits fitted?

I believe you used to be able to order all the parts from the Ralliart Hong Kong site, and then all you'd have to do is fit them. They were very expensive though, and I'm not sure whether you can still order them direct.

From 8 MR Documentation

Differential
The following changes have been made to the Super AYC differential.

• Improved strength and durability: Strength and durability have been raised by adopting special high-strength steel for the
hypoid gears (pinion gear and drive gear), instead of the cast steel used previously.

Hello

You have added in to the MR range a uprated front LSD. Infact it is the rear diff SYAC that is stronger.

The front LSD is the same as the RS one (Helical).

Cheers

Mike

Thanks for that, but do you have a source for your info? I've checked the MR brochure and it doesn't mention anything about uprating the S-AYC or the rear diff?

I use the technical manuals for my info not the brochures.

Brochures are glossy magazines full of marketing information and are to give an idea of technical things. If you see what I mean.

PM me your email address I will fire over the MR supplement to you.

Cheers

From the other thread going at the moment about VII FQ300's

:-

- Exhaust I believe was meant to be a power engineering system not HKS, but not all FQ300's had this fitted towards the end of the run (this was a source of some debate at the time with dealers)
- Carbon dash inserts
- Model number plate on centre console - no carbon badge liek the VIII's
- Model number on plate on slam panel
- Fog light in rear cluster
- Ralliart air filter (I don't believe they fitted a HKS as standard).
- No folding mirrors
- FQ300 lettering on boot lid adjacent to lock barrel
- Based on RSII platform
- No rear wiper
- 5 speed box
- RSII aircon not climate control
- Does have SAS, also seperate EGR which was later deleted.
- Seats are various - all Recaro in my experience, the blue/black ones and obviously the full leather option being 2 variants.
- 2 lambda sensors, one post cat, one in the exhaust manifold

Spot on with mine Can concur with all Brians points above - exhaust was meant to be a PE System but some later models didnt get them. Exhaust was 100% not a HKS system.

Thanks chaps, I've updated the first post.

Does anyone know the differences between the VII GSR and RSII?
