Blocks no good! You’ve gotta love Evo’s

It’s going to make a great coffee table though

Was it pitted due to rust in the bore or something else? Casting imperfection?

I took a punt on the block ages ago knowing it may not be ok. It had a failure on No4 and there was a chunk out of the bore. It was within the pick up so I hoped it would clean up.. guess not

Didnít know if it was from the original engine that had just been stood. Least you know why it was there then. Oh well you take a chance sometimes

All the best with the build clearly the engine is in very capable hands.

Well sacrilege to many but the 10k block is getting built. !!

Perfect base for a big build , so it is what it is.

Mark has been great, very very helpful guy

Few changes have been made to final spec, welcome to Evos

Nono, just saying I think most of us always have an ongoing excel file with specs that get changed every now and then

Carillo Rods and pistons on order , 10 week lead time .. been a busy week deciding on engine block.. few options to consider but pretty much made my mind up. Also have a few bits on order from the USA which should make the build a touch more interesting.

Few crappy pics of the IC not exactly pro pics
