Ah right, my bolts are a little grubby so would probably replace while doing the job. Good to know i'm part way there though.

Do the Ohlins come with their own bolts? Every kit i've seen fitted, looks like it has bolts that match the shock body.

Can anyone confirm if I can fit later Ohlins to a 5 but without drilling the hub? Plip mentioned inserts?

Yes you can, there is a spacer kit which fits between the upright and strut which also reduces the size of the bolt holes to the std 5/6, GB enterprises sell them, possibly Rossport does too
