1500rpm Idle

Hi guys, just had Kelford 272 cams fitting and G4. All done by a professional garage and I have no problem with their work what so ever
BUT... Car is idling at 1500- Is this normal with cams fitted or does something need looking at? Iím going to speak with garage in morning but just wondered if anyone can shed light in mean time.

Hi, if they also mapped it, they should look into it.

1500 is way to high
Mine sits at 950 to 1100

Whoever mapped it should sort that

Although you'll need a bit higher idle than stock with those cams the Link has excellent idle control and they should easily get it smoothly idling at 980-1000. It may need a tweak to the manual idle screw to centre the ICV stepper motor. It is fiddly to get the idle control right over the entire engine warm up though.
