Hks 7460 people’s opinion
Hi got one on my evo currently and it’s very responsive and seems to pull well through the gears etc, seem to get abit of boost surge now and then maybe mapping issue, also when sat at 70 mph I get constantly wastegate flutter on every crease or bump in the road causing slight lift on pedal, for the money these cost gets me thinking if I’d be better of with a 80 series with a modded 20g wheel in ............ so who’s got one and what’s your thought ? What power you Seeing with it ? Cheers

I built an engine for a friend with gsc s2 cams and hks turbo, about 470 hp
Turbo is super responsive, but surges and we had to switch to speed density to get the driveability.. however, it is the fastest responding turbo in that power range. Transient response is silly quick... I would never go back to 80 series..

There is a GTIII version released:
https://www.hksusa.com/news/new-gtii...ncer-evolution Not sure who sells it yet (Ross?) or read any reports of how well it is on an Evo as yet though... I run a modded 80 series on my 9; 470bhp and 465ftlb at just under 1.7bar. Runs really well but I don't think is as responsive as the 7460... |

Its a BOV very adjustable and very fast to react. I had mine mapped on Simtec ECU and race fuel and was fast on 2.0bar but went to LinkG4+ and knock sensor as fuel to expensive so Antony mapped on crap N/Ireland fuel and its very good with no surge. Cams are I think HKS 264/278 as part off the kit and set up on adjustable pullies on 3mm bleed valve actuator on Inconel manifold. Pace intercooler on 3" intercooler pipe work. Twin plate clutch on RS transfer box.
