ECU remap for NZ fuel
Hi guys
I've been reading that the stock Jap ECU maps could be too aggressive for some other countries with lesser quality fuel. I'd suspect our fuel here in New Zealand is crap...... I haven't really pushed my TME yet (fresh import) so should I get it retuned ASAP? Appreciate your thoughts. |

Have someone log it and tell you how much knock they see during spirited driving.

Ok so I should download Mitsulogger and log it? Will have a look at the logging software, but I think I've read I need some special cable for the 6 where the later only need a simple cable....
So if i can log it I'm looking for knock (detonation) events, yea? |

Yes, knock count is what you want to look at (while you are there might as well log IDC (injector duty cycle) rpm, tps, maf signal as well).
My Evo 5 is stock apart from an Apex'i pod filter, walbro fuel pump and a Turbosmart waste gate actuator (20psi) it shows zero knock on BP 98 fuel. Whereabouts in NZ are you located?
