Newbie from Northern Spain

Hi all,

I just bought my very first Lancer Evolution, a 5 GSR.

It was sold by one of your members and that's why I became also a MLR member.

That's the car that made me go all the way from Spain to get it :

https://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=552978

I'm very happy about the car and it was worthed all the "adventure" to get it over here.

My plans are to keep it the way it is - neat and tidy. Maybe upgrade the suspension as one of the shock absorbers is knocking every now and again.

I wish all the wealth of knowledge in this forum can help me understand and enjoy better this amazing machine.

Un abrazo

Welcome. Why do I have a set of those 5-spoke Enkei Tarmacs sat in the garage rather than fitted to the VI I think I will get them on at some point this year. They really suit the IV-VI and the VII to be honest.

I'm still doing some research about it, as it's not straight forward before the Evo VII over here. You need to do a homologation of the car, as the V was not homologated in Spain.

The car is garaged now till spring, and hopefully by then I will be able to answer your question more accurately.

since 2018 registrations in spain are impossible, the only car that can be registered is the one with european code or first UK registration not imported from japan and then registered in uk.

So many evos will return to uk soon as spain is full of non registered cars
