Fish falling from the sky ! Yes, really.

We had a humdinger of a thunder storm/rain etc last night, went on for quite a while including a lightening light show.
On the lawn this morning were these two fish. NO, they didn't escape from the pond as that is just Goldfish and newts. I assume that they were picked up by the freak weather from ????? and eventually fell to earth. They are virtually unmarked and fell right next to the pond. I am no fisherman so what are they and what weather conditions meant that they ended up on my lawn ?
And NO, I wasn't on any funny stuff last night
Cheers
Brian.

There was a small Tornado reported somewhere the other day?
Maybe there were more last night?

If it was April 1st I would agree but it is a truthful account.
A mystery.

If you all take time to look closely at the picture you will see that a very strong fly who obviously does a lot of weight training has pulled them both from the water and is going to eat them

It could be that a seagull dropped the fish as I've heard they've moved on to Chihuahua's now...

All a bit strange world of Arthur C Clarke It's not unheard of for it to rain fish under certain atmospheric conditions
