A Day on a Runway (Aug 5th 2018)

For those of you that remember the old MLR 30-130 days at Marham here is your chance to bring out the Evos, or anything else for that matter, and give them a good run in a similiar type event.

The GTRDC (GTR Drivers Club), in association with RaceLogic, presents :- A Day on a Runway.

This is one of the GTRDC headline events taking place this year and will be on Sun. Aug 5th at Kendrew Barracks, formerly RAF Cottesmore, near Stamford.

A 1.5 mile runway awaits you and we will have the full day to run VMAX over a one mile run, also 30-130 timing will be kindly supported by our friends at RaceLogic with VBOX equipment. There will also be a separate timed Sprint circuit which you can also use on the day included in the price.The day is being run by the excellent Javelin Trackdays team and will be fully staffed , and marshalled by their team, they will also be managing the VMAX timing and display screens.

The GTRDC will also have a team there to assist further, help with timing,and keep the leader boards updated. The event is open to everyone, no matter what type, make or model of car but you must be a member of the GTRDC in order to attend, (membership is only £10), If you need to book membership this can be done when you book your slot.

The evening prior to the event the GTRDC team will be hosting a pre event social in a local hotel.

* Pre event social Sat Aug 4th.
* Day on a Runway Aug 5th
* 08.30- 17.00 full day
* 1 mile long VMAX Single car runs
* 30-130 timing measured by RaceLogic VBOX
* Timed Sprint Handling Course
* Passengers will be allowed on runs on all disciplines but must have covered arms, legs and wear a helmet.
* Prizes for 1-3 in 30-130,VMAX and Sprint times.
* Hot food/Burger van on site all day
* Inside area in case of inclement weather
* Helmets available for hire on the day from Javelin
* Maximum of 75 cars for the day
* £160 per car including GTRDC membership

To sign up for this event visit www.gtrdc.co.uk
Register on the site and then head over to the Shop area and choose Day on a Runway and a GTRDC Membership (£160 in total), fill in your details and you're good to go.

Look forward to seeing plenty of the MLR guys there

Hopefully you can make this Mark, currently just over 40 entered so far.
Any Evos are more than welcome to join us, it would be good to see some high powered Evos on the 1 mile runway section and Kenny can come and show us all how to drive in the sprint course.

I'd be bringing the 997 Turbo for some high speed action. Still trying to massage my schedule...

Anymore for this? Just a couple of weeks left to get your entry in as we have to arrange security clearance.

Currently as far as I'm aware we have no Evos running at this event so far! We do have 4 Teslas turning up though. This coming weekend will be your last chance to enter, I'd liked to have seen at least a few Evos turn up and have a go, they would probably give the GTRs a good hiding on the sprint track.

Excellent day at RAF Cottesmore, the top speed run over the 1 mile was 205mph by a Litchfield tuned R35

Fastest Tesla was a Tesla S, it did 272kph over the mile and finished 30th. I've not got the 30-130 results or the Sprint course, should get them later today.

30-130 for the quickest Tesla was 12.5s.
Fastest 30-130 was the Litchfield GTR at 6.8s, that compares favourably to a Veyron which is apparently 7.5s
Adam Hill's bog standard GTR did a 10.6s for comparison
