Powerplay-uk?

Im on the look out for another evo (possibly evo 5/6) in white to keep as a weekend toy and build it up over a number of years. I havent owned an evo from 2010 or 2011 i think so im out of the loop, so to speak.

I have been checking on here and other online sales pages. Has anyone had anything good or bad to say about these guys? They have a few imports which look ok'ish.

Try Guy Francis Specialist cars, they have some really nice evo's. I'm very happy with the VI I bought from them.

The exact same thing happened to me.
I don't know them personally, but something didn't smell quite right.
I might be wrong and if someone knows them please say it.

Guy Francis - not met him personally but had lots of lengthy chats on the phone and seems like a stand up guy. One of our customers' V came form him and it's very nice indeed.

I was looking for around 3 - 4 months and had a similar experience with Powerplay - I also gave Motorhub a call about an Evo 8, but they didn't seem to know about the car or were even interested in my call... I ended up buying one of an MLR member on here, this is a much better way imo

Yep, i agree. Thats what i would prefer. My last 2 evo's come from the mlr and both were brilliant and accountable. Im not in a massive hurry so i will keep looking on here and pounce once one comes up :-)

Please please don't buy that grey 8mr from motorhub, I had a nightmare with that car and dealer.

I will just add that the chap I bought mine from had it imported through Torque GT, he said they were great to deal with - Good luck with your search!

Yeah, after me calling them and getting nowhere I checked their reviews... Absolutely shocking!

I'll always be checking out reviews first from now on

Powerplay are still advertising cars that they sold over two years ago. When you ring up they say they just sold it but could import you something. Not a sales practice I agree with. I’d stick with sva or torque gt, or just buy a U.K. car you can actually see before you hand over any cash. That’s what I do
