What did you do to your evo today?

Removed the rear spoiler from my E6 Am I right in thinking that replacement seals are a diy job?

My wife bought me an indoor car cover so I washed a very clean evo again, wrapped her up for winter and said goodnight.

Sunny and Dry - took it for little run out to keep everything moving and that. Missed driving it for too long

Srut Brace

Today, I fitted my recently DIY refurbished Cusco 2-point front strut brace:

I also polished the headlight lenses using the very fine wet sanding pad and the Meguairs Plast-RX lens polishing compound from their Headlight Restore Kit. I used a DAS 6 Pro+ DA polisher and medium cutting pad instead of the wool pad in the kit to work the polishing compound.

Seemed to work really well

After polishing, coated with GTechniq G5 water repellent coating.

Got a custom cover made from Coveryourcar in UK and just tucked my X in.

It's absolutely epic. Tight fit, very good material, breathable, non scratch and 5 straps to keep it in place.

Some photos...

I cleaned up my side skirts off the car ready for new clips, screws and refitting

Painted my front drivers wing, and cleaned up my coilovers (checked for leaks, degreased and re oiled)

Need to finish off my front arches ready to build back up. Currently have to fit new wheel bearings, track rod ends, droplinks, refurbished poly bushed wishbones with new ball joints. Re zinced bolts, powdercoated hubs, new abs sensors. Re furbished driveshafts, genuine fq400 alcons with new discs, lines and pads.

I also removed the rest of my broken LANCER badge.

What a mess of congealed adhesive underneath:

Another job for me to get on with.
