Heads up on the Michelin tyres. Costco have their buy 4 get £80 off deal on. Makes a set of PS4 234/40/18 tyres £360 delivered.

Cup 2's are still £650 ish.

Bargain.

**** video if you ask me. He keeps talking about the tyres understeering, but the tyres don't understeer, the (****) driver does. He goes from the 4 to the 4s to the cup and gets faster, which can only be the tyres, not that he is getting more familiar with the track. When with the 4s he talks about how the cups are going to be better before even driving on them...confirmation bias much? When he drives on the cups the first thing he does is almost crash, then talks about excessive oversteer but they're a better tyre. LOLWUT? All he does is throw around vague subjective terms, why doesn't he use a VBOX to gather actual data instead?

I'm not disagreeing with his conclusions, I just don't think the video demonstrates them or backs them up

Pilot Sport 4 tyres are pretty decent in winter.

Not sure how they handle snow as we've not had any since early 2018.

Yeah, I'm looking for snow tyres specifically to have 'just in case', gonna throw them on an old set or VI alloys.

Best winter tyre for a passenger car is Pirelli Sottozero 3.

Best summer road biased dry/wet for a car is Michelin PS4S (or settle for PS4 in Evo friendly sizes)

Best high performance dry road/trackday tyre is a Michelin Pilot Sport cup 2 (Cup 2R in no -Evo sizes)

If youíre chasing lap times with a road legal tyre then look at Pirelli Trofeo or Trofeo R but be warned about longevity!

I have had many tyres on some serious machinery and these are the best of the bunch.

Have just ordered PS4 (all round) - 17" wheels. Not chasing lap times at all. Car is daily driver so only road use..

Not looking for anything expensive. Just some winter/snow tyres that will allow safe driving in snow/icy conditions and when temps dip below 5į

My budget for the winters will be about Ä65 (£60)

Michelin Pilot Sport 4

Iíve always run my IX on Goodyear F1 Eagle Asymmetrics which have proved decent but now Iím in the market for some replacements Iím looking at PS4s

For anyone else also looking, Michelin are currently running a promo until 22nd Sep of £40 a pair and £80 off 4 tyres.

Iíve managed to acquire 4 PS4 DT1 XL tyres (235/40/18) for £73 a corner before fitting from a well know wholesaler (donít want breach any forum advertising policy)
