Stoptech

Just wanted to let you know I fitted new brakes to my car
they are AWESOME and I've already tested very severly,
14 stops from 220 to 0 and they didn't move an inch!!

next test will be the track in March!

they even fit with the enkei's, but VERY little space left.

(I just coulnd't take it anymore..all those wrapped discs with the AP's and Brembo's)

332mm*32 kit, they even do a 355mm kit, but that's 18" only

I can get an address where to buy of you want....Personally I think they are as good as Movit and AP but for a far cheaper price!

A friend of mine has used them on his scooby for over a year now and he almost only does trackdays with them, they are very good, even after 1 hour sessions, so i'll let you know how they perform on the evo and the track!

Nice enough looking too

Will be interesting to see if they actually stay red though, unlike the Brembo's which go brown with track use

Nice brakes m8 - and as you say good value for money

Just be careful which pads you use with them... My m8 ran some on his twin turbo Audi S4 and the standard pads supplied are NOT SUITABLE for track use - they overheated and damaged the discs. He also tried some track pads which ate the discs

With the right pads they will be Awesome!

Cheers

you can choose the pads that come with the kit.
But normally they supply 'axxis' with them. The intsructions say not for track use but my friend has used them very hard on track with no problems what so ever!

Have the kit too

Spyke,

I also have the full StopTech brake kit (calipers/rotors/lines, front/rear) for my Evo 7 RS-2.

StopTech actually used my car to develop the brake kit as they are local to me here in Los Angeles.

Those brakes are absolutely phenomenal IMHO, my car is mild-heavily modified, about 400bhp, and stops on a dime. I have had many people tell me how late I can brake in corners and still clear them safely.

I am sure there are other highly competitive brake kits on the market (AP, Alcon, Movit etc...), but for the money, I sincerely believe the StopTech kit is worth considering. You won't be disappointed.

Karl

Hi WRC4ever,

I couldnt agree more with you, they are awesome. No matter how hard you abuse them they just keep on working without any warping what so ever. Best money I spend without a doubt and wouldnt trade for any ap's or movit's

I was going to post a thread asking about these brakes after having an in depth discussion with the American rep. at the Autosport show on Friday. He seemed very confident in the product which I have't heard of before.

I am contimplating some kind of brake up grade and this could be worth a thought.
