Datatag Security and Identification System

We all know performance car theft is a major problem and something all Evo owners are likely to have in mind during the ownership of their car. Datatag’s Thatcham approved state-of-the-art stealth identification technology has been specifically designed for performance vehicles and has successfully deterred auto theft and helped to stop vehicles being stolen and stripped for their parts or cloned and sold on to unsuspecting buyers.

The Datatag security and identification system includes;

"Stealth" UV Etch
Comprises a unique code - permanently etched into the panels and bodywork. They do not deface or interfere with the appearance or aesthetics of the vehicle because the etchings are visible under UV lighting.

Datadotsģ
A superior microdot identification system developed for ease of use. The Datadots can be applied to any surface, thus making it virtually impossible for the criminals to locate and remove them all.

Transponder Self Adhesive Flat Tag
This flexible transponder contains a unique code, permanently programmed into its integrated circuit, which cannot be altered or deleted and is impervious to either electronic or magnetic attack

Transponder Glass Tag
This transponder is roughly the size of a grain of rice and can be easily installed. It contains a unique code number which is permanently programmed into its integrated circuit. The number cannot be altered or deleted.

Domed Resin Warning Label
Forming a major part of the visible deterrent these indicate to potential criminals that Datatag genuinely protects your machine and there is a high risk of it being traced should they steal it.

TE Warning & Re-Registration Labels
Specially designed decals warn off potential thieves and are impossible to remove without damage.

The Group Buy
RRP for the Performance Car Datatag kit is £99 inc vat with no additional monthly charges, so it’s already great value for money, but Datatag have offered MLR members the opportunity to save an additional 25%!
  • 10 kits = £93
  • 11-20 kits = £87
  • 21-30 kits = £81
  • 31+ kits = £75

All kits will be posted via recorded delivery - please add: UK: £4 Europe: £9

Group Buy Runtime:
The group buy will until 5th October, but if we reach the maximum discount before this date we’ll take payments and order the kits early.

To Order:
Please add your name and the number of kits you would like to buy below (as you may want to protect more than one car!), and please remember adding your name is a commitment to buy.

Possibly a stupid question...

Bit by “kit” does this mean the buyer has to do all the work? Or is it taken somewhere for all the above to be installed?

Hi Steve, Matt

No such thing as a stupid question - especially if I haven't given you the answer!

The Datatag system is very easily self applied - just have a look at this quick 4x4 Installation video; https://youtu.be/iIFG90EsW6Y

Hi Darin, please put me down for one of these . IMO it’s well worth the outlay. Also the fact my Evo is in bits, it will be easy to do

Anyone else? IMO will also help value and sale , with the mega money some parts are fetching now, these cars are certainly targeted for stripping

I thought this was a fantastic GB which works on any Evo (or any vehicle), was easy to 'fit', added security to your car and saved everyone money, so hopefully I won't be proved wrong and it will be popular

Agreed Darin, I see youíre having two yourself?

Iím a little surprised for under 100 no one has shown more interest. I personally feel it will add value and ease any sale too. Itís perfect for me as mine is in bits I can go to town with the micro dots

Free bump

Darin - do you reckon if this was fitted you could let your insurers know and maybe get a discount on your renewal; is it "approved" by insurance companies I suppose is what I'm asking?
