Unhappy Lancer GS4 - modifcation

Hi all, new to site, I have purchased a Mitsubishi Lancer GS4 2011.

very nice car very cool looking, i know it doesn't stack up to it's rivals... but it comes with a poxie exhaust !!! and finding any performance parts or styling is impossible i have the petrol 1.8 version.

does anybody know of any performance parts i can get such as Induction kits that will fit or exhausts ?

If you guys have modifed this model please show pics that would be great.

I'm feeling stuck with this one..

Thank you.

Sparky

Welcome Sparky! I have the Sportback version of the Lancer and although my car is the 2.0l I think you will find that a few of the Evo X parts will fit your car, although I'm referring to body mods such as the bonnet etc. One of the guys on here (Nick M) has the diesel version and he has fitted an Evo X front end.

I know that my car needed a slightly modified exhaust to upgrade it, as the standard X does not fit, so, I think you will be looking at a custom job. Maybe find someone local and ask them for a quote?

As to induction kits the Lancer is very popular in the States/Canada and http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ have sections for differing Lancers, so maybe have a look through there for some ideas of what you can do.

Have fun!

Edit: Check out Lukepilot152's car. He's made some mods to his 1.8CVT.

Engine parts? Being the VW engine, try there! The block is the same as the 170bhp BMN version, so my first thoughts are going to be to replace the turbo and injectors with BMN ones and get it remapped again.

I'd like a panel filter too to aid breathing and might put a better FMIC, that'll see over 200 horses. Don't wring the neck off your one as the turbo won't like it much over 180bhp.

just hard to find parts even just for interior or body
been trying for a while to get hold of a boot wheel compartment cover as mine never came with one so anything in boot breaks on spare wheel but mitsubishi dealer will be around £90+
