Oil filter Part numbers E7-9

First post in years and yes I still have the white lady.... Possibly discussed many times but I've been looking at the part number of OE Mitsubishi Oil filters for the 2004+ model evo.....

The general consensus is that the MZ690116 was the true OE p/n but I've since seen advertised as no longer available and on Ross Sport's site its down as a MD356000

Any thoughts to this?

According to Mitsubishi the correct part is MD356000 and is what they stock.

The older part number is no longer on their system.

MZ made by Denso, MD made by Tokyo Roki

I think you will find the difference is down to materials used due to disposal laws in the USA. Sold both, used both, either do the job fine.

MD356000 was the original part no as used on Evo VI onwards and replaced the previously used MD322508
