Donut gasket removal troubles

Hi All,

So I'm in the process of replacing and repairing all of the (ever growing) rusty and damaged parts on my Evo 8 and I've had to remove the exhaust to pull the subframe out and get this powder coated. Its come to the time I need to put the thing back together however I seem to be stuck removing the old donut gasket on my down pipe. Does anyone have any ideas that would get this bugger out?

Upon looking at it my "stainless" downpipe it seems to have rusted itself to the gasket and when I've forced it off the down pipe has practically ruined the gasket. I've tried to cut a chunk out with the dremel cutting disk but it still wont budge.. I'm starting to feel a new turbo elbow and down pipe might be in order if I cant get this thing out....

Also, to note... the flange wasn't that clean... I've wire wheeled it and was going to put a spray of VHT paint on it so it doesn't rust/corrode like it has done so far but not sure that's a wise idea at the moment.
