Thinking of sticking these on my 17" Enkeis. Was originally going to get Eagle F1s but do like the look of the Yokos.
They safe in the rain on normal roads?

If driven at normal speeds yes. If you push them on damp or cold roads without heat in them you get what you ask for lol

Had them on my RWD daily driver for nearly 6 years and I survived! Just drive to the conditions and you'll be fine.

Read quite a few reviews and they all say pretty much the same thing. Great tire when dry and OK in rain as long as you don't drive like a lemon. Only thing that is putting me off are the few comments about aqua planing. Even driving to the conditions, this can be problematic.

Aquaplaning is bad in any tyres if your speed is not right for the conditions. You can’t have a super grippy tyre in the dry and expect it to save you from aquaplaning. If you are worried about it maybe you should buy pilot sport 4’s or have a winter set of wheels

Ad08r gets my vote.Really well balanced compound at great price and decent wear rate
![]() Wet road is fine but aquaplaning like mentioned is bad due to tread pattern. Last edited by beliblisk; 06-01-2018 at 20:10.. |

They are the best you can get without going for a track tire.....a pilot cup super sport is no better. So in that you, have no other choice but to put them on.

Hi all
I have ad08r on my Evo X and I'm absolutely in love with them. You need to work the tire a bit to get heat in them, but once you do they feel like a racing supersoft tire, reminds me of my Karting s-soft slicks. That said, you should also maintain a specific pace because when you drop, heat goes away almost instantly and you need to build heat up again. It feels like a racing tire. Although my evo is not my daily driver, I have an octavia for this, I drove it a bit under wet conditions and I have to say it's not as bad as I thought. They grip, they give you confidence but I would be extremely patient in heavy rain conditions. I can't comment about aquaplaining because I haven't experienced any yet as I have not driven in such conditions. Luckily in Greece we have good, decent climate so I'm not that worried overall. Overall, I'm massively happy with them! Will definitely put them on again. The amount of confidence, turn in and steering feel you get from them is absolutely awesome. I'm running 30 psi rear and 32 front, cold and they have even tread temps (center and outside) so I think they are OK. Sent from my G8141 using Tapatalk

Has anyone tried the new AD08RS? How does it compare with the AD08R?
