They're not considered to be up to much by most people on here who have used them. I've no personal experiences of them. But TBH I didn't want any! So I have Ohlins . I would personally "upgrade"

No, £1300 means big profit margins for BC and retailers selling them.

I have bc rm coilovers on my rally car and I can't fault them for the price
They are good imo but having said that my mate rally car has ohlins On and I have driven that car and it's dose feel better and a lot more refined . So you do get what you pay for. If you can find someone to replace or rebuild the one you need doing I would do that depending on the price. |

Can we gas dampers up? Yes.
Do we have the right tool to gas up the BC? Maybe. Do we have the parts to fix the leak once it's gas up? That's the million dollar question. As other said, I am not sure if it's worth the cost / effort to fix the damper. Jerrick |

You could try trawling the ads on eBay, etc, and see if you can pick up a S/H pair. Ultimately though as has already been said, you would be far better off investing in a decent set up.
I ran BC's for a couple of years and apart from the inserts working loose, they didn't give me any trouble. That said, I found the range of adjustment didn't make much difference after about 10 clicks, and when I did swop to a decent set up (KW Clubsports) the difference was incredible.

BC's repair prices are horrific, last set I used needed a new top mount, rang BC to get a new one ordered... ended up binning the entire set and bought new MiesterR instead.
Replace one top mount was so expensive it made more sense to ditch them and buy a new set of coilovers as replacing the second top mount would have nearly cost me the price of a full set. Absolute disgrace what they charge |

I personally think they are good value for money. The manufacturing quality is very good, the warranty is good and spares are cheap and easy to get. The damping characteristics may not be as good as the more expensive options but I believe they fit the bill for a street car. Invariably, from forum to forum, the majority of persons who trash BC coilovers have never tried them and just base their opinion on what they have read online. The majority of persons who have actually tried them are pleased. Its also a fact that many of the coilovers in the same price range as BC are made by BC for private labels or use some BC sourced components. Look at the springs and the top mounts on most of these coilovers and you will see what I am saying is true. Last edited by Wreckleford; 18-08-2017 at 19:15.. |

I am actually a dealer, have been for about 2 years, but have had experience with BCs long before that. The first time I saw a set of BC coilovers was about 8 years ago when a customer purchased a set and had me install them. Before he bought them, like many others with online only experience, I said "why are you buying that crap? Spend some more and get a quality set of suspension". He bought them anyway because many persons on Evo 1,2,3 had them and liked them."
When he got them I was surprised by the quality of them. Put them on and thought the ride and handling was pretty good. Better than the Cusco coilovers I had on my car that cost quite a bit more. That same set of coilovers is still going strong on his car. I have been on this forum for a long time and remember the days when people used to rubbish KW coilovers without knowing anything about them. Now KW have a very good reputation. That's not to say that BC and KW are in the same league. |
