You will find a lot of garages are starting to write very little on adverts,as the consumer has that many "consumer rights" and when you do get something wrong which happens a lot ... they come down on you like a ton of bricks .... its like america now blame clain/return buisiness ..... you will see less and less wrote by garages as the laws are ridiculous

Also it probably cuts out having to deal with the 10 time wasters , silly emails etc etc ,as the "proper" buyers will call ,go view and buy ... so as we call it cuts out the ****e

Ps - nice gt !!!

The simple answer to that one is, get the information in the advert correct then you have nothing to worry about.

Surely quoting the mileage in an advert can't really be that hard!

Very True - but mistakes happen ,writing out 50 adverts etc etc etc not always as easy as you think. All the people in this trade will know what im talking about ....so I will leave it at that ... not getting into an argument, as its SVA's for sale thread

But that's the job FFS

I wouldn't start a sandwich shop if I couldn't be bothered fetching any bread.

I also agree with previous statements it really annoys and puts me off with SVA not stating mileage. From Auction sheets to OD readings surely it can't be hard typing 0-8 figures.

Regarding the whole 'it makes interested parties call' so basically SVA presume there time is more important than mine?

Also someone else commented on another SVA thread and the member from SVA stated he forgot and he'd add mileage to all following adds, this didn't come to light.

Shame as an interested person looking to get back into an evo I am put off by the above...

Take it up with them , I was giving a few reasons that I thought of that's all

Its a free world ...suppose you don't have to write anything if you don't want to .

My comments were based on my own experience as a punter with money in the bank. I was ready to buy or put a deposit down on the right example and I bought one from Auto Torque this weekend just gone.

The (lack of) mileages, auction sheets, disinterested people answering the phone, sketchy and contradicting details made me extremely cautious.

I'm not saying SVA sell bad cars or have poor service (as I'm basing this on a few calls and emails), but as a potential customer I didn't have a great experience so looked elsewhere.

Barrie would have you down as a messer...and wouldnt give you the time of day, if your not interested in buying without even seeing the car or asking the mileage then your of no use to him....

apparently..
