Peoples opinions on this please - including all tuners

Pictures of bores on 2 litre long rod fully forged. built by Ďreputableí tuner. Covered 4000 miles, built and mapped by the same company. I bought this engine 13 months ago but didnít get round to installing it (fortunately) decided to sell engine had parties interested in head and bottom end so decided to split, upon removing the head imagine my surprise to find all bores marked both sides at bottom !! As Iím not an engine expert I would like peoples opinions on these bores - thanks

Can you take a pict close up of the piston crown of the bottom picture as it looks like dett on it. Wipe the crown so it’s clean.

And while you're at it can you give anymore info on the build? Was it run in on an engine dyno?

I bought it from someone on here, I collected from the same company that built and mapped for him. As they were breaking the car for him I thought buying it this way would be safer and the company in question told me engine had done 4000 miles and was perfect.

Problem is there is variables involved. Agreed it's not right, however its not easy necessarily to blame a certain person. Either way it needs attention. Have you contacted both parties?

I find it disappointing that certain tuners think itís acceptable that an engine with this mileage on even though they said was perfect have washed their hands of the problem. Wouldíve thought theyíd want to get to the bottom of why engine has done this??
