Evening,

do you fit new bearings as part of this package?

How far out are you booking for this package? i.e when could the work be done?

Thanks

Smithy

Hi

Thanks for the post. Yes we do. We could get you in within 2-3 weeks for this type of work I think.

Just an update on mine that had a drop in done at Mr Norris's last year. Its now done 15,000 miles, I use it everyday its running 380/400 doesn't use a drop of oil between changes, doesn't even breath anything into the catch can either. Can totally recommend this service.

Si,
Have you had any issues with rattle from the Manley small ends. I'm led to believe the manley's can suffer from small end rattle.

Hi!

We have never had any little end issues on any rod let alone the Manley H beam. Who told you that? In the 17 years we have been going I have never seen it on the 4G63/4G64!?

Cheers

Si

Nobody said the issue was a result of one of your conversions.
I was speaking with someone that has had an issue with Manley small end rattle that's all and he advised to opt for a better rod such as the Oliver rod.

Well I'm the first.

G-force is referring to me.

I had a rattle on the down revs at 1100rpm..... Told by cpp it is a good chance it is little ends.

Bought oliver I beam rods and NR changed them for me and confirmed little ends. Madley H Rods in the bin. .. Hence the noise totally gone now.

To be fair, it could happen to any make rod... But I wanted the extra build quality of the oliver.

Bog std motor, a detuned bog std motor actually. Been running 220/230 bhp all its life until I got it. Was booked in for a rod job, but I had an overboost that cracked a piston. So as everything was in tolerance Simon fitted pistons as well. Since then its been running like a swiss watch.

I can only speak as I find and for me Si Norris did a spot on job.

Well I wouldn't want to comment on another tuners work let alone good ones like CPP and NR. But we have never had any issues whatsoever with the Manley H beams, I beams or any other rod for that matter little end wise.

Cheers

Si
