I do like the over ear stuff , especially for sound. But I think they’re going to be too hot for gym and get ruined. I’m ordering tonight. So any last minute suggestions gladly received!

The platronics backbeat fit are excellent gym headphones and I prefer them to my Powerbeats 3. I do mostly cardio and they stay where they are plus they are waterproof as I had mine at 2m for ten minutes and they were still perfect

I will look at them now . What I’m finding is a lot of these are good phones. However very few are recommended for gym use! The Bose are not advised for gym use!

So it’s go cheap and the JBL E45 or spend more and go for the Monster sport which are designed for the gym and sweat proof, only drawback is the sound isn’t as good as some. However it seems it’s all about compromise. But with the JBL at £70 and the Monster at £170 it’s a tricky one

My Under Armour Project Rock ones came today. Quick turnaround and Iím really impressed with them. The controls are easy to access and use, no messing about with them, one of the rock emblems on the side is a talk through button which reduces the music right down for when someone tries to to talk to you. Sound quality annihilates the in ear Phillips ones I have, I havenít tested them against my Beats ones though yet but I suspect theyíll out perform them. Bass, mid and treble all easily distinguishable and they hold good deep bass with no issues. Being JBL/Harman speakers though they should do really well!

The only eye brow raising part for me though is the battery life, full charge gives 18hrs whereas the same gives 40hrs on the Beats. A five minute charge will give 1hr whereas the same will give 3hrs on the Beats. Still 18hrs off a charge is plenty long enough..

They feel solid enough as well, the ear pieces are slight twisted inwards which helps keep them on without being uncomfortable, go over my ear nicely and feel really snug.

Iíd recommend them, and they come in a nice yellow colour for the wife... although Iíd buy black or camo as I think youíll end up using them more!!

I have the Plantronics Backbeat Fit headphones which are on Amazon from like $60-90. My gf and I have both been using them for about a year with no problem! One charge usually lasts about 6-7 hours of music and you can take calls through them if needed. I even put them through the wash by accident and they're still going strong!

I recently bought a brand new pair of AKG Y50BT's for less than £40. Not the newest set I know but I thought it was a bit of a bargain considering they received 5 stars by What Hifi and retailed at much more when they launched.

I wouldn't recommend then for gym, running etc but for general use they do the job.

I looked at the Bose Quiet Comforts and Sony XM3... they are nice but I'm not sure they're 6 times the price nice haha!
