Link Ecu Base Timing

Hey guys!

I needed some help and was wondering any of you have had this issue.

I recently installed a Link G4+ in my Mitsubishi Evo 5. Got the car to fire up but want to set the Base Timing.

Now I have a Digital Snap On gun and I have the COP wasted spark conversion done.

I've got the Gun to flash but it seems like it's flashing twice as fast as it should and even the RPMs on the gun are double of what the cars running.

If I lock the Base Timing value at 10 degrees and Adjust the Offset I get to 10 degrees.. But I'm not sure if this is correct as the guns flashing faster?

Also once that's done and I rev the car to 3k RPM to adjust the delay in Ms I can't get it to hold the 10 degrees.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Wasted spark system you need to change how many cylinders the gun is configured for
