Unfortunately that quote was from BG at Silverstone. I have got just got a quote for £110+ vat from another ohlins service centre so not sure why such a price difference between the 2.

Sounds like the first quote was a mistake unless it was something like an exchange on a new damper or removal/fitting and alignment?

Well the cheaper quote was from meteormotorsport. Yeah maybe it was a mistake. It was definitely only for sending them the shock and rebuild though. Did seem like a lot but the price for the spherical bearing for the ohlins top mounts was mad so just assumed high prices was an ohlins thing.

I had the same issue with my ohlins, I had them on my car for around 16k miles I think and they are around 3-4 years old.

Just had them serviced by MGR and the bill was around £870 just for the fronts as they were knocking like mad and the top mounts was not replaced.

Again Iíve never tracked my car so all those miles were daily use on roads.

Seems like you had better luck than me as mine started knocking around 1.5 years of ownership.

Good luck.

I was considering ohlins until i came across this thread.

It’s around 650 euro at Ohlins in Germany for a full rebuild on a complete set so under 150gbp a corner, I believe you can almost buy replacement dampers inserts for the prices above.
The top mount bearings are expensive but you can use any standard fitment top mounts.
Warranty is 2 years so I d speak to Ohlins if they are under 2 years old, there is no mileage requirement just time from purchase.
